Welcome to the official web site of Concordia University's Virtual Private Network (VPN) service. VPN allows off-site Concordia University students, faculty, and staff access to services restricted to computers registered with Concordia IP addresses such as:
For example, if you want to access any of these services from home and you have a subscription to an ISP such as Bell Sympatico or Videotron then you will need to use the Concordia University VPN service.
The Concordia University VPN service is solely for academic or work related use. While using the VPN service, your computer becomes part of the university’s network and is subject to Concordia University’s Policy on Computing Facilities. It is important to note that file-sharing and peer-to-peer applications, such as Kazaa, Gnutella, and BitTorrent are forbidden on Concordia networks. Use of these types of programs may result in immediate suspension of your VPN account. Please ensure that these applications are not running prior to connecting to the Concordia VPN service.
Warning: During an active VPN session, ALL of your internet traffic is routed through Concordia University's network. This will result in lower response times when accessing non-Concordia internet resources. Some internet resources will not be available at all because they are blocked at Concordia University’s gateway. Please disconnect your VPN session if you are not using Concordia University services.
